Unrefined sea salt is considered one of the world's finest salts - but above all, it is one of the most mineral-rich. Unlike regular white, refined table salt, where almost all natural minerals have been removed and only sodium chloride (99.9%) remains, Celtic sea salt contains approximately 82% sodium chloride - the rest are valuable trace minerals.

Celtic sea salt is light grey in colour due to its high mineral content and comes from unspoilt areas of Brittany, France. The salt is naturally dried by the sun and wind and harvested using traditional methods. It is free from pesticides, herbicides and harmful chemicals, including heavy metals.

The salt's high trace mineral content (17.5%) makes it an excellent mineral supplement. In comparison, Himalayan salt contains approximately 4.1% trace minerals. Celtic sea salt contains important minerals such as magnesium, potassium, selenium, copper, zinc, iron and manganese.

Use:

• When cooking

• As a daily mineral supplement by dissolving it in water:
  Add 1 teaspoon to a glass of water, let it dissolve, and add more until a saturated solution is formed. Use 1–2 tablespoons of this solution per day diluted in water.

• Also works in a salt mill.

The salt's natural moisture and milder saltiness make it pleasant to both cook with and drink in solution.
